I love the fair! Ask anyone I know and they will tell you. Sooooo, when given the opportunity to shoot a session there I was out of my mind excited. And how fun that these kids are red heads. I love red heads!! Maybe that's why I married my husband ;0). Color, color everywhere and sounds and smells! Stimulation overload! There fore this is one of my favorite sessions. Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of photographing on of my regular clients son for his birthday. We we arranged it so that I could also take pictures on his special day. With how busy it was going to be we did a portrait session before the party and while there, I took some pictures of the party decor. WELLLLLLL! We started off with her teaching me how to Dougie, clearly I was a bit rusty.

Do you remember this wee-one? She is 8 mos old now. Time really flies by. I haven't done studio work for little ones like her in a long time. I usually only photograph newborns indoors so, this was a bit different than what you have seen me do. I really liked how it all turned out too. I hope you all like it as well.

Her nick-name is Co-co which turns into Co-co nut. Her Mom had a cute vision for this shot, don't you think??

I am so blessed to have amazing friends!!! I never could have asked nor would I have ever expected that someone would want to volunteer to help me on my New Years resolution (To Contain the items in it and make it beautiful, so that I can spend more time with my Kids and my Husband). So the fact that 2 of my friends were willing and ready to dive in and help me is beyond AMAZING. I am at a loss for words really. Sarah and Lollie, I want to blog the wonderful work that you have done. This is my thanks to you both and my declaration of what wonderful women you are. I am brought to tears thinking of the work that you did for me and my family. Really, I am having a hard time containing the commotion that is going on in my eyeballs, Seriously!! These girls spent most of the morning on Valentines day re-arranging, re-purposing my living and dining room. Using only things in my house. A completely FREE project(my favorite word)! They went in my props closet and used stuff from there (I can't believe I didn't think of that) and I searched in nooks and crannies that I hide things from my Husband and let them use those (You know you all do the same thing ;o)). I had to share the results. Unfortunately I did not take before pic's and I can't find anything in my computer that I know I had. So you are just going to have to bask in the splendor of the AFTER!!

Again, I have to thank these wonderful women and thank God for putting them in my life. I truly know that everything has a purpose. Lollie, I am directing this to you now, Follow your heart.

So, normally for sessions I bring props and what-nots for the baby. I do this so that the parents don't have to worry about anything. So For this session, ummmmm, I didn't need anything. Everything was there!! Mary (Ellie's Mommy) is a fabulous furniture re-furbisher. She has a vintage and shabby style (Which I LOVE!!) I basically used her furniture and her husbands fire gear as the props. I was there a long time, only because I was "the kid in a candy store". I even took some of her big sissy Lucy. So Sweet ;o) She was a little upset for a bit but, after we played "let me catch your tears and put them in my pocket for later" game and maybe a little coaxing from Mommy and Daddy, she warmed up. Love ya Lu-Lu!! Just have a look and see what we came up with.

Have I ever told you I loooooove babies? Well I do! ;o) I can't help it! They are precious beyond precious and this lil' girl was no exeption. Take a look and see for yourself, pure sugar and spice, that is for sure. Her family is beautiful too! I am such a lucky person to be able to capture a day of my good friend Sarah and her family's life. It's always fun to photograph a friend. They are willing to do or try anything. Well, except for get all the way into a gross junked out truck for fear of spiders. Hey I don't blame you. (Sarah you are brave for going partially in - hi five girl!) Hi y'all! Well it's already almost the 3rd month of 2010, can you believe it? I can't! I hope that every one is having a splendid year so far. I want to start off my sneak peeks with this little guy, oh what a sweet boy! This is Andrew, I had the pleasure of working with him and his family again and had such a fun time. I got to know his dog Spanky who unfortunately took my squeaky bunny foo foo captive during the first half of the shoot. That is OK though, he served me well for a long time and really I didn't need him because Andrew was such a happy baby anyway. Enjoy these peeks!

Cynthia ask me if I would photograph her and her family for the holidays and I couldn't be more honored. It's kinda nerve racking to photograph another photographer, phew. I tried to be as confident as possible but, you just don't know if maybe they know something more than you or if they would do things more efficiently. After a few shots I just began to feel like we were out having fun together, no pressure at all. I don't know what I was worried about, the Warden family was the coolest!!! Here are several of my favorites! The best part about it all is they were all loved by the camera and they loved it back. MUAH!! you guys were awesome!!

What a blessing! Our good friends Dobber and Jo-ann are having their first baby! A girl and her name will be Isla James D. How cool is that name?? (Of course D is for their last name ;o) I am so lucky to be able to capture these moments as they enjoy and prepare for their new little one. We are so very excited for them and know that they are going to be amazing parents that will guide this little being into a loving and responsible person. This world is so lucky!! I don't really post much personal stuff here but, I thought I would share our evening at the pumpkin patch. It was also our turn to take Rusty the Bear from P's preschool class on an adventure so, this was perfect ;o) You can see P even brave the micro Ferris wheel with little Rusty. Too cute. I hope you enjoy just a piece of my life.. ;o)

I thought it was pretty cool that he was jumping in front of their huge projection screen that they were showing music videos ;o)

This was suppose to be low maintenance, but I couldn't help it. I had Heather and her kids driving all over her neighborhood and around to find a perfect spot in one of the many fields we have here in So.Cal. that are fenced or too treacherous to take children into. Sorry dude ;o} We did find a way to get to one of the "fields" and on the way we stopped at the entrance and got some lovely shots. However, while we were setting up the "field" shot I was shaking the chair into the stalks of huge grass/wheat to scare any animals or reptiles away, and a passer-by came to inform us that the day before they saw a 6ft rattler just a few feet from where we were. She also thought it might be a good idea if we didn't shoot there.. Well I was ready to book but, we quickly got a couple of shots and we huffed it out of there.. Note to self, that field is too scary. Live and learn. I am just glad we got to live so that we could leave and then learn ;o)

This is little Adisten, what a doll! She was a mover, let me tell you. I can't blame her though, when you learn to walk you can't help but explore.. During our shoot we also did some family pictures, so it was a well rounded shoot.. We enjoyed some antique shopping, (check out the new prop), walked around main street, took in a thrilling ride in a small and pitch black elevator (creepy) and walked across the beach and back to our cars all in 52 mins. with one minute to spare on the meter. (that was all the time we could get out of the meters, because we all were out of coins, LOL!!!) We got a lot of amazing stuff and I enjoyed my time with Adisten and her family..

Aww we had so much fun despite poop-gate! Yes I stepped in it and my favorite spot to shoot became my not so favorite. But just for a few moments ;o) After editing these picture with the girls I remembered why I love this location. Check it out and you will see why.. The girls where having fun and we were all acting crazy! My sister helped me with this shoot and took some great shots too. I will post some of her takes here later. Halle's day

What an unbelievable day.. We had all intentions of shooting in the thick of Downtown Fullerton but, the session switched gears on us as we were given a wink from God (cute term used by Halle's Aunt Lauren ;o)). So Dee-Dee, Halle and I met by the train station as the ominous clouds were rolling in.. I told her that we didn't have to go to the neighborhood I found because it was getting kinda dark and rainy looking. Dee-Dee said "We can do it, whatever you want to do we will. We can go fast!" I thought briefly, I will regret it if we don't go. So, they hopped in my car and off we went.. We began to shoot on the street of this wonderful neighborhood as the sun began to burst out of the sky as if to say (with a loud deep voice) "You have chosen well" It was almost like we were given extra sunlight for a reason.. we then moved to this cool ally way that had a stacked stone wall (such wonderment). As we were shooting in the alley the owners of the house that we were behind came out (they were leaving for the evening) and commented on how pretty miss Halle was and THEN!! The owner said "why don't you shoot using my stairway at the front of my house, it is much prettier than back here" I thought WOW! Well, I like the grungy yet village-y feel back here but, the front of her house is amazing. Insert squeal of excitement HERE. Yeah!! Thank you so much!! We were so excited. I don't think I could have thanked her enough. So we never made it to Downtown and I think it was meant to be.. I hope you all enjoy this session, cause I did. ♥

So I just finished Lil' L's series. I couldn't be happier with how they turned out.. I just want to say thank you Dee for letting me photograph you and your kiddos. On Friday I got to capture this sweet sister and brother. For photographing 2 kids in one day I was amazed that we finished in about an hour and a half..
